No photo editing, no filters, no cropping, no posing… Just life!
When I got my hands on a single-use camera a few years ago, I rediscovered the very essence of photography: a moment captured with emotions intact.
When I first developed the negative of this old camera, I wasn’t sure what to expect. To be honest, I didn’t even expect anything. Then came the surprise: the memories came back, moments I couldn’t even remember taking a photo of. For each of them, the emotion I had experienced reappeared. A simple result, with its qualities and faults, but a pure rendering, a real moment, far more powerful than a retouched result.
Since then, I’ve taken this little object with me on every trip, reminding me of my childhood and the carefree way we looked at our surroundings. Here’s the result, in bits and pieces. I’m not a photographer, so the photos aren’t perfect… so much the better, that’s what I was looking for!
